The festival culminates with a final concert at the prestigious Yokohama Minatomirai Hall, one of Japan’s most celebrated venues, known for its world-class acoustics and striking waterfront architecture. Performing Jake Runestad’s music in this iconic hall, accompanied by a professional chamber orchestra, will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for every participant.

How to Join?

Step 1
Pay the Audition Fee

This $50 fee helps cover processing charges and will be credited toward your deposit if you are accepted.
Should your audition be unsuccessful, the $50 will be refunded in full.

Step 2
Submit Your Audition

Once your audition fee has been processed, you will receive a private audition link to a Google Form where you can upload:1. A short audio or video clip of you singing (max 45 sec.)
2. A brief statement explaining why you would love to join the festival (just a couple of lines).

Step 3
Finalize your deposit

If your audition has been successful, you’ll receive an email with a secure link to pay the remainder of your deposit, along with all the details you’ll need to move forward on your journey to the Tokyo Choral Festival!

Want to travel alongside a family member, friend, or loved one?
You don’t need to be a singer to be part of this unforgettable experience. Come along, enjoy the music, the scenery, and the connection.

Payment

Flexible 3‑Payment Plan

To make joining simple, we offer a 3‑installment payment plan:

1. Deposit: $500 ($50 from the audition fee)

Due November 1, 2025 to secure your spot

2. Second Payment: $499.75

25% of the total, due December 15, 2025 (approximately 9 months before the festival)

3. Final Balance: $999.25

Remaining balance, due February 22, 2026 (120 days before departure).

*All transaction fees are included in these amounts — no additional charges will be added.Rooming Options
The deposit amount is the same for all participants, regardless of room type. However, singers who wish to have a private room (single occupancy) will be charged a single supplement of $70 per night, which will be added to their final balance.
Please note that standard transaction charges also apply to the supplement amount. Double occupancy is included in the standard package price.To assist with room planning and final invoicing, we ask that you confirm your room preference (single or double) by your second payment deadline - October 1, 2025
